SumDU sportsmen’s achievements during European judo competitions

From latest European judo competitions, SumDU students brought golden and bronze medals.

Oleksii BOLDYRIEV (the Medical Institute) got a European Cup gold among under-18-year-old sportsmen.

In a Slovenian city of Koper, there were 340 participants from 23 countries. Our judoka competed in the under 90 kg weight category. Proceeding to the gold, Oleksii won opponents from Serbia, Georgia and Slovenia. Finally, he defeated a Romanian athlete.

Nataliia CHYSTIAKOVA (the Physical Culture and Sport specialty) obtained the bronze medal at the European Judo Championship among under-23-year-old sportsmen. The contest took place in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on 28-29 October 2022.

Nataliia defeated Spanish and Italian opponents. In the semi-final, she could not win a German rival. However, a final Polish enemy was weaker.
