SumDU student brought a silver medal for the Ukrainian national team

On 11-22 January 2023, Lake Placid (the USA) hosted the Winter World University Games. Here, the third award was given to Ukraine. In particular, Dmytrii HRUSHCHAK, a SumDU student at the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies, got the silver medal for the Ukrainian national team. He overcame 12.5 km in biathlon competitions.

Having started from the seventh position, Dmytrii perfectly shot and took the lead on the fourth race lap. He failed to hit the last lap but managed to finish second.

It is the first Ukrainian award on the Winter World University Games. Previously, Dmytrii had two bronze medals among the national team achievements.

Vladyslav CHYKHAR, a Medical Institute student, rose to the tenth place from the initial eleventh.
