SumDU researchers and colleagues from Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow (Poland) were awarded a NATO grant within the project “Science for Peace and Security”.

It will be an Advanced Study Institute program: a 7-10 day course for young researchers. The priority topics concern security issues.

Within the grant, there will be a realized education program “Security of Territorial Communities: Evidence from the Eastern European Countries”. The modules are:

  • Territorial community development;
  • Territorial communities and regional security;
  • Militia and territorial security;
  • Energy and ecology security in territorial communities;
  • Financial security in territorial communities;
  • Social and humanitarian security in territorial communities.

The grant comprises 44,000 EUR.

SumDU program coordinators are Fedir ZHURAVKA and Yurii PETRUSHENKO (Department of International Economic Affairs).
