Supported by the WHO and Ukrainian Healthcare Ministry, the next stage of the A10 volunteering project has begun. Here, SumDU participates.

18 SumDU experts were involved in the project: Oleksandr STEPANENKO, Dmytro VOROPAIEV and Liubov TOMYN (Medical Institute).

They trained properly to select an assistive device for each individual, teach how to use it and provide further physiotherapy support. Physical and occupational therapy students also took an active part in volunteering.

On 2 June 2023, another WHO humanitarian aid was delivered to the SumDU University Clinic. It comprised 1,500 packages of adult diapers, 26 wheelchairs, 20 walking frames, 100 three-support canes, 48 elbow crutches, static toilet seats, bathroom boards, seat cushions.

To get free aid and consultations for disabled people, you can call +38-0542-66-50-71 or the Saint Panteleimon Hospital.

Notes: Since the combat beginning, over 4 million people have left their places of residence, but their real number is approximately twice as large. Disabled persons experience a hard migration challenge. Therefore, the WHO, Healthcare Ministry and All-Ukrainian Organization of Physical Therapists jointly organized the A10 project. The project provides free material assistance to disabled and displaced people.
