Organized by the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications, the conference brought together scholars from around the world. The event was held in a mixed format on 1 June 2024. It was attended by representatives of 12 countries and 20 cities of Ukraine.
At the conference opening, the participants were greeted by Vasyl KARPUSHA, Anatolii CHORNOUS, Olena SUSHKOVA, and Julie KASPER.
SumDU representatives shared their achievements and plans for development of the humanitarian component of science. It was noted that the main task of our scientists is to ensure the integration of humanitarian research into the world scientific space.
At the plenary and sectional sessions, the following speakers presented their reports:
- Jero Tisma DANICA (Associate Professor of the Department of English, Faculty of Philology and Arts, University of Kragujevac, Kragujevac, Serbia);
- Paul Friedrich LANGER (Professor, Director of the European Danube Academy, Ulm, Germany);
- Stuart CARROLL (Professor, New Jersey College, USA).
Also, other Ukrainian and foreign scholars, as well as students of the faculty and Ukrainian universities took part. The conference proceedings are to be published in the near future.
