Sumy’s accession to the international society was facilitated by the success of Sumy State University and the city as a whole in lifelong learning and the achievement of the global Sustainable Development Goals. Yurii PETRUSHENKO and Hanna SHVINDINA (SumDU professors) together with the city authorities prepared the application for the status.
