SumDU students – the champions of the European Games 2019 in field-and-track relay

On June 23^rd the first field-and-track starts took place at European Games in Minsk. Two students of the Medical Institute of SumDU (major “Sport”) ran the mixed pursuit relay (800m-600m-400m-200m).

Oleksii Pozdniakov (400 m) and Yevhen Hutsol (800 m) in the national Ukrainian team showed the best time of 4:25,02 (the winner was determined by the best result of all matches) and won gold medals.

Yevhen Hutsol began to do athletics only in higher education institution led by SumDU Professor, coach Leonid Pylypei, and the sportsman from Donetsk region Oleksii Pozdniakov had only the 2^nd place at the 2019 National championship in his asset before the European Games. Now both SumDU students – champions of the European Games.
