On May 21st-24th representatives of Bingham University (Federal Republic of Nigeria) visited Sumy State University composed of the rector – Professor William Barnabas Qurix, University Development Office coordinator Misal Daburi Bello and Head of the Department of Chemical Sciences of the university – Professor Joseph Aniredju Lori.

The purpose of the Bingham University’s representatives’ trip was negotiations regarding students’ academic mobility, exchange of teachers that specialize in spheres of economics and computer science. Also, the opportunities to conduct joint scientific researches and internships were discussed. Foreign guests got acquainted with material and technical base of Sumy State University. In particular, they visited Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Academic and Research Institute of Business Technologies “UAB”, Medical Institute, University Hospital, Congress Center, Library and Information Center, “Idea Lab” and opportunities of Online studio and principles of distance learning realisation in SumDU. Bingham University representatives communicated with students of different majors and expressed their admiration for organization of educational process at SumDU.

The result of fruitful work between SumDU and Bingham University was the signing of Memorandum about cooperation and additional agreements. From September 2019 the exchange of teachers, students academic exchange will start implementing (in economic majors, computer sciences and “German Philology” major). Students of medical majors from Bingham University will have the opportunity to continue education at SumDU in major “Medicine”. Also, the agreements were reached regarding joint scientific researches, as well as double scientific guidance and scientific internships.
