On April 30th, Sumy State University broadcasted a live program on “Academic Integrity at the New Ukrainian school”, which was attended by the experts from Sumy, Kyiv and the United States of America.

The online discussion had such topics as the causes and ways of combating plagiarism, fabrication, bribery. The speakers discussed the origins of academic dishonesty in families and educational institutions and answered questions of the event’s participants.

The conversation was attended by the Coordinator of the project of Strengthening Academic Integrity in Ukraine (SAIUP) Taras Tymochko, the member of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education Artem Artiukhov, the Head of SumDU Department of Management Hanna Shvindina, Associate Professor at Lake County and Harper College of Management, Halyna Shohan, the Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science of Sumy City Council Olena Nazarenko, students of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The discussion was moderated by Mykyta Kovalevskyi, a student, an employee of the Department of Extracurricular Activities of SumDU, an expert of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education.

As a result of the event, experts plan on developing new joint projects to overcome academic dishonesty in educational institutions.
