SumDU student won bronze in the first stage of the European Youth Archery Cup

Artem Ovchynnikov, a student of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies of Sumy State University, took third place in the mixed doubles competition of the 1st stage of the European Youth Archery Cup, which took place from 18 to 22 May in Čatež, Slovenia.

The athlete is generally satisfied with the result but believes that he could have done better. He says that he fell ill at the training camp before the competition, so it was difficult to shoot the first few days.

The archer has a busy summer ahead: two Cups and the Ukrainian Championship. The athlete's goal is to get to the team that will defend the country's honor at the World Cup and to show a decent result.

Sumy State University congratulates Artem Ovchynnikov on the prize and wishes him successful performances at future competitions.
