Some lectures were held by Estonians and Americans for students of the SumDU Academic and Reasearch Institute of Law. They are called “The Armed Conflict Law” and “Current Problems of the International Criminal Law”.

The first lecture was organized by Yevhen TSYBULENKO from Tallinn University of Technology (international law professor).

The guest reported on basics of the international humanitarian law. He classified main notions and categories of the armed conflict law, defined its principles and sources. A great attention was paid to victims’ protection and war criminals’ punishment. The speaker answered questions as well.

The event is extremely topical: the Russian-Ukrainian war appeals to the highest public security. Therefore, the humanitarian law ideas must be spread as widely as possible.

The second lecture was held by Stephen VANGELI (former Florida policeman). He is a foreign non-academic SumDU stakeholder.

The guest represented the all-American and Florida criminal acts. Visitors discussed the international anti-crime cooperation between Ukraine and the USA.
