Congratulations on Science Day

I would like to congratulate the large community of lecturers, researchers, PhD and DSc students, bachelors, masters and all SumDU employees on a professional holiday – the Science Day!

Depth and globality of research, diversity of scientific directions and their practical implementation are the determining factors to reach university success and development.

For Sumy State University, it is 75 years of unceasing, progressive movement supported by significant achievements. Despite the young age, Sumy State University is leading in Ukrainian education and research. It took the first place among domestic higher education institutions and for the first time entered the list of the 500 best universities in the world according to the World University Rankings by the Times Higher Education agency (2022).

In spite of all wartime challenges, our scientists continue active research work. At the same time, the volume of grant funds increases every year. Recently, this amount has exceeded 90 million hryvnias. And we hope that the positive dynamics will go on.

Our scientists win significant grants, receive research and development orders, become award laureates. The university educates a promising young elite of scientists. This is confirmed by the next competition results of young scientists’ projects. In 2022, Sumy State University for the 7th time in a row selected the largest number of winning projects among all higher education institutions of Ukraine.

Dear colleagues!

I express my sincere gratitude for your inspired and responsible work, for achievements of which we are proud of, for innovative projects that establish SumDU as a powerful research center.

Dear creators of SumDU research, I wish you, good health, inexhaustible energy and creative inspiration for projects and contests. Let SumDU flourish worldwide!
