Yuriy PETRUSHENKO became a laureate of the Ivan Vyhovskyi award. He is the head of the Department of International Economic Relations (DSc, professor).

The award ceremony takes place annually on 22 May at the Senate Hall of the University of Warsaw. It is held under the honorary patronage of the Polish President. During the event, the congratulatory letter of the current President Andrzej Duda was read.

The award honors contribution of Ukrainian citizens to the development of science, culture and public life. It helps in civil society formation and democratic development.

The award was established in 2014 by the East European Studies of the University of Warsaw and other Polish institutions (Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, University of Wroclaw, University of Bialystok, Mary Curie-Skladowska University in Lublin, Catholic University in Lublin, Rzeszów University, Collegium of Eastern Europe and Ossolinski National Institute in Wroclaw). Later, new entities joined from Krakow, Poznan, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdańsk, etc.

The winner receives a diploma signed by the rectors/vice-rectors of all universities. Besides, he is provided with research internship and lecturing for 2 months.
