Why did you decide to choose our university?

I chose Sumy State University because it provides an exceptional opportunity to communicate with people from all over the world. In addition, I got a unique chance to learn a new language and the rich history of Ukraine.

What do you, first of all, remember when you talk about Sumy State University? Did you have any interesting student stories?

My first winter in Sumy has a special place in my memories. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in the winter season. I clearly remember walking on a frozen lake with friends. We were all impressed with the incredible view.

Which of the academic disciplines did you like the most? And what was the most difficult in training?

Studying at Sumy State University, I enjoyed management, leadership, higher mathematics and languages.

At that time, the hardest thing for me was that I could not go back home and see my family. I had to stay in Ukraine for four years of my study.

Was it difficult to take exams?

One of my favorite quotes is by Benjamin Franklin: “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. Proper planning and preparation are critical to passing any exam.

Did you have a favorite teacher?

One of the most vivid experiences at Sumy State University was studying the language with my favorite teacher, Mr. Viktor. Thanks to his excellent teaching, I acquired language skills that allowed me to confidently communicate with local residents in Sumy.

Was there something you missed during your studies?

I missed my family the most. This is the only thing I missed while studying at Sumy State University.

What, in your opinion, is the most important thing in a student’s life?

In my opinion, the most important thing in a student’s life is to find the right balance between study, work and leisure.

Tell us about your extracurricular activities? Did you have any hobbies during your student years?

During my student years, I was fond of two aspects of extracurricular activities: singing and getting to know the city of Sumy. I had the wonderful opportunity to perform at university with other talented students. It allowed me not only to showcase my passion for singing. I also got closer to my fellow students through music.

What do you owe the university the most?

I am most indebted to Sumy State University for providing me with an exceptional opportunity to learn a second language and immerse myself in another culture. Studying here allowed me to broaden my horizons and gain invaluable experiences. That shaped my personal and academic growth.

In your opinion, is the diploma of Sumy State University prestigious?

It is difficult to measure exactly what prestige is. However, while traveling around the world, I saw several graduates of Sumy State University working in large companies.

Thank you for the interview! And finally, describe Sumy State University briefly.
