Accordingly, the forum was organized in three thematic sections: Talent Management, Strategic Change Management, and Financial Sustainability Management.

The first section addressed the issues of finding and attracting talent; financial and non-financial motivational mechanisms for development of teachers and staff. A successful case of Sumy State University was presented by Alina VYSOCHYNA (deputy head of the Department of Strategic Analysis and Staff Development Planning).

The second section dealt with strategy, university leadership teams, and the role of supervisory boards.

The third section covered ensuring financial sustainability (endowments, foundations, technology parks, etc), promoting educational services, cooperating between business and universities. Volodymyr KASIANENKO and Ivan KOZII (vice rectors) shared their experience of Sumy State University.

The second forum day was organized as a world café. Participants discussed the balance between corporate and self-governing universities, business involvement in academic activities, and impact of business on changes in education.

In general, the forum participants had an opportunity to work together on current educational issues, challenges, and ways to solve them.

“Over a year of coordination work the Alliance is united by a relentless desire for development and international integration! The extraordinary atmosphere of the Forum encouraged participants to have frank conversations about key topics of crisis management, search for creative and effective solutions, active networking and friendly cooperation. Openness and trust are a solid foundation for our forward-looking plans! Thank you for friendly and constructive cooperation. Let us move on together!” – said Kostiantyn KYRYCHENKO (head of the SumDU International Cooperation Department).
