Hanna Novosad familiarized with the modern technologies of teaching at SumDU

On February 11th, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Hanna Novosad visited Sumy State University. She got acquainted with the activities of the university on implementation of sustainable development in compliance with the priority of quality, examined the training and research laboratoryof virtual and augmented reality "Ulab", learned about the possibilities of creating educational materials using a virtual background in a video studio of SumDU and with renewed Online Studio, which promotes a high-quality distance learning of students.

Rector of SumDU Anatoliy Vasylyev noted that the university actively uses modern technologies in educational process. In particular, after two years of testing, large-scale mixed teaching technologies were introduced, with which from 30 to 70% of educational workscope is implemented with the use of IT technologies and in teacher-student online communication. For example, the MIX platform, SumDU own development, has over 360 disciplines, 430 teachers and more than 8000 students registered.

Also, during her stay at SumDU, Hanna Novosad familiarized herself with the experience of creating and operating a space for students’ and staff’s children within the university project “Family Friendly University”.
