Translation training and resource center “LinguoStar” of the Department of German Philology conducts the quarantine training courses and provides translation services to all interested in distance mode.

“The specialists of the center work in the online format. All additional educational services, planned for March-April, are completely carried out using specialized software for organizing web-conferences, online meetings, webinars, namely: Google Meet, Zoom, Skype", - Olha Zhulavska said, the Director of Translation Training and Resource Center "LinguoStar".

She informed that a new group is now forming with all interested in obtaining certificates confirming their English proficiency at the B2 level. LinguoStar translation center teachers have experience and skills in conducting online courses on preparation for ECL international language tests since 2017, improving them with each lesson.

“As for the provision of additional translation services, since the beginning of the quarantine the center specialists have translated and edited materials exceeding 900 pages of different levels of complication and various subjects (medicine, engineering, law) on request of SumDU subdivisions (Medical Institute, the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies, the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies, etc.), as well as external customers”, - Olha Zhulavska informed.

The director noted that neither translators and teachers of the “LinguoStar” translation training center nor the course trainees or owners of translation services, feel uncomfortable with providing and receiving additional paid services, which are the basis and purpose of the сenter's activity.

The “LinguoStar” translation center invites everyone interested to cooperate regardless of the season or epidemiological situation in the country.
