The DOU.UA portal has published a new ranking of universities for the IT industry (https://dou.ua/lenta/articles/ukrainian-universities-2020/), which is based on the results of the 2020 admission campaign.

SumDU is the 7th (after Ukrainian Catholic University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Lviv Polytechnic National University, National University of «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy», Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute») among 82 HEIs of Ukraine, which received at least 200 applications for all IT majors.

The average competitive score for the major, "weighted" by the share of applications for it in universities, was used as an evaluation indicator. The following majors were analyzed: "Computer Science", "Software Engineering", "Cybersecurity", "Computer Engineering", "Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies", "Information Systems and Technologies", "Systems Analysis", "Telecommunications and Radio Engineering", "Applied Mathematics", "Mathematics", "Electronics", "Applied Physics and Nanomaterials".

In Ukraine, the largest number of applications fell upon four majors: "Computer Science", "Software Engineering", "Cybersecurity", "Computer Engineering". Among them, SumDU is on the 8th position in the country (in terms of competition score) in the Computer Science major, and on the 2nd position in the Cybersecurity major.

We wish success to students who entered SumDU in such prestigious and competitive majors!
