Within the joint project with the Czech University of Natural Sciences (Prague) "AgriSciences Platform for Strengthening of Science in Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine" 4 scientists of Sumy State University received research cross-disciplinary grants, and another 7 – for research mobilities to the city of Prague.

The research grant involves cross-disciplinary study in one of the key areas: agricultural machinery, environmental economics, environmental engineering, forestry, social and economic aspects of agriculture, gender and migration in agriculture, plant sciences, or agricultural policy.

The condition for participation in the competition was to have at least one research article in editions indexed by the WoS/Scopus databases. Among the grant recipients from SumDU are the scientists of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management, Academic and Research Institute of Business Technologies "UAB", the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies.

The winners of grants for research mobility, the teachers of Academic and Research Institute of Business Technologies "UAB", the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies, Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management, the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications, the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies will visit the Czech Republic.

It is worth reminding that another joint Ukrainian-Czech project called "Interuniversity Cooperation as a Tool for Improving the Quality of Selected Universities of Ukraine" is currently being implemented, designed for 2019-2021. The main goal of the project is to build the management capacity of young academics, researchers, and masters in several Ukrainian universities in the field of quality assurance, research, and community involvement.
