EU Career Day was held at SumDU

On May 14^th, the Information Center of the European Union, operating at Sumy State University, held an educational and informational event "EU Career Day", which was attended by more than 300 pupils and students of Sumy, representatives of public organizations, businesses, and civil servants and active young citizens.

This year the event was held in more than 15 cities of Ukraine.

During the EU Career Day in Sumy, the guests learned about the dissemination of the principles and approaches of the European Union in the field of youth employment, priorities of social and economic development of the EU, the best practices of cooperation between higher education institutions and employers to discuss knowledge and skills needs of current trends in the labor market.

The training helped the participants to understand the possibilities of the EU Erasmus+ grant programme in the field of international academic mobility, to learn about the possibilities of volunteer work in the EU, as well as to develop soft skills, such as communication skills, cooperation, self-presentation, and job search.

In addition to Sumy State University, the event was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, as well as local partners: NGO "Center for Adult Lifelong Learning", Sumy City Youth Leisure Center, Sumy Business Support Center, NGO "Centre for EURO INITIATIVES".
