Sumy State University hosted the second multidisciplinary conference for young researchers that brought together the representatives of Ukraine, the Czech Republic, China and Colombia.

The conference was the final event within the project of the Czech Development Agency “Interuniversity Cooperation as a Tool to Improve the Quality of Selected Universities in Ukraine” (2019-2021), implemented by SumDU in consortium with four Ukrainian higher education institutions and Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.

The project coordinator from SumDU is a Ph.D. Associate Professor of International Economic Relations of Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management, Oksana ZAMORA.

The main goal of the conference was to provide the young scientists with an opportunity to share their research, get informal professional feedback through the discussions, and establish contacts with colleagues.

The conference participants joined the discussions on current trends in thematic sections: “Sustainable Development Trends,” “Global Challenges and Threats of the Present,” “Development of International Economic Relations in the conditions of COVID-19”, “Global Competitiveness within the Contemporary Challenges and Threats.” Networking and creation ideas for new collaborations, was one of the significant advantages of the scientific meeting, which took place in a hybrid format (online and offline).

The staff of the Department of International Economic Relations of the Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics, and Management of SumDU also presented the results of their research, including those funded by mini-grants in 2020 and 2021.

Based on the conference results, a collection of abstracts will be published.
