Looking back, it is safe to say that 2021, despite the continuation of the pandemic, was successful for our university community in all areas of activity: in organizing the educational process, carrying out research, participating in research competitions and grant programs, expanding partnerships. relations, including international ones, generous with working and friendly visits.

Confirmation of the systemic success of Sumy State University in scientific activities are the best indicators of state certification among higher education institutions of Ukraine. The University was included to the highest qualification group A in four areas: "Humanities and Arts", "Social Sciences", "Mathematical Sciences and Natural Sciences", "Technical Sciences" and to group B - in the field of "Biology and Health". The successful work in the scientific field is evidenced by the award of SumDU authoring team of scientists with the Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the development and implementation of innovative technologies.

Also, the university once again confirmed its leading position among Ukrainian free economic zones in this year's world ranking of Times Higher Education and high performance in the rankings of other reputable international agencies.

The achievements of SumDU are the result of coordinated and persistent teamwork of employees, students, graduate students. I am proud of the achievements of the team and the personal success of each of you. I am grateful to everyone for their honest, initiative work, responsibility and focus on results. I am sure that new bright events and significant victories await us in the new year.
