On the 29th of March, the webinar "Non-traumatic communication with students regarding war issues" was held for teachers and staff of Sumy State University.

The speaker was a child psychiatrist, psychotherapist Yevhenia DUBROVSKA.

The following issues were discussed: how to start the educational process during the war, how to properly establish communication with students, how to respond to students' stories about tragic events. Webinar participants also received practical advice on psychological support for students.

The psychotherapist spoke about the main feelings that a person could experience during the war. These are fear, anger, guilt, and hope. And as young people are more vulnerable and more receptive than teachers to what is happening, the webinar speaker noted, it was important to help students form the sense of faith and hope.

"The hope for them can be the awareness of the fact that those who are at war give others the opportunity to live and develop, and then rebuild the country together," Eugenia DUBROVSKA said.

The webinar participants thanked the speakers for meaningful training, useful tips, and specific psychological tools helping to provide non-traumatic communication with students in this difficult time.
