The areas of SumDU’s cooperation with Chinese partners have been discussed

The online conference between Sumy State University, Chinese-Ukrainian Platform for Innovation Cooperation and Shenyang Aerospace University took place on May 17-18.

The goal of the event was to identify ways of cooperation between the Ukrainian and Chinese parties in educational and scientific activities. In particular, the conference participants discussed the promotion of the “Confucius Institute” project and the establishment of the Chinese Culture Center based on SumDU. Among other intentions of the parties, there are online Chinese language courses for Ukrainian students, joint research, and publications.

The participants of the meeting focused on the prospects of studying for students from China at SumDU due to the changes in the legislation of Ukraine, which gave the possibility for foreign citizens to enter Ukrainian universities remotely.

"The current meeting is very important for us, because we have been going to this cooperation for a long time, and now we can make significant progress in our joint work. Despite the events of recent months, SumDU is continuing the active work including the implementation of joint projects with Chinese partners, and this work has significant prospects", the rector of SumDU Vasyl KARPUSHA said.
