On July 12, the final round table of the international project "I am Media" was held at Sumy State University. The project has lasted almost a year, during this time almost 250 students and employees of the university joined the activities.

The organizers of the "I am Media" project are Sumy State University in partnership with the NGO "Youth Media Union (YMU)" and together with the public organization "Human Rights Foundation", the University of Tartu (Estonia). The project was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.

Within the context of the project, two training schools were held in the city of Chernihiv, 10 blog cafes, as well as an active blogging program, within the framework of which 1,300 author's posts were written on the topic of protecting people's rights.

The coordinator of the project, the head of the Media Center of Sumy State University, Maryna OSIUKHINA, says about the results: "Our main achievement is the creation of a community of bloggers from Sumy and Chernihiv, who have kept in touch and supported each other during this difficult year. Also, young people gained knowledge and skills of using the "human rights blog" tool, we managed to attract a different audience of readers thanks to English language blogs. The feature of the project was the fact that partially the blog cafe was conducted by the participants themselves. It contributed to the implementation of the "peer-to-peer" methodical model. I believe that the project was able to become a support in the first months of martial law because bloggers were able to express their thoughts and experiences in blogs, which helped a lot to cope with stress".
