On 11-16 September 2022, 2022 IEEE 12th International Conference «Nanomaterials: Applications & Properties» took place in Kraków (Poland).

The event was organized by SumDU, Silesian University of Technology and IEEE Nanotechnology Council. It was supported by IEEE Magnetics Society and International Union for Pure & Applied Physics.

About 350 people participated in the conference (including almost 100 persons online). 400 abstracts were sent. Co-authors were about 1600 researchers.

There were reports from famous USA and EU scientists: professors Yurii HOHOTSI, Sandro KARRARA, Laura HRIN, Nikola PINNA.

One discussed three major branches: nanomagnetism and magnetic materials, use of nanotechnologies in biomedicine, multifunctional thin films and coatings.

The best reports were awarded from sponsors. Besides, IEEE Magnetics Society, IEEE Nanotechnology Counsil and US-Ukraine Foundation Biotechnology Initiative provided young Ukrainian researchers with 80 grants.

The IEEE works will be published and indexed by Scopus as well as other bases.

The next SumDU conference will be held with Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (10-15 September 2023).
