On 30 March 2023, there was a meeting at the SumDU Congress Center. Among participators, we could see university members, local authorities, public agencies, business entities, humanitarian missions.

The event was aimed at adaptation of authorities, public and economic organizations to wartime challenges. Besides, principles of post-war community recovery were discussed. Thirdly, joint implementation of the Ukrainian Adult Education Law was focused on.

The meeting was supported by the Lifelong Learning Center, SumDU and DVV International Ukraine.

It is education that is a relevant tool for post-war recovery on the individual, organizational and community levels. Namely, that concerns quick study, flexible reaction and opportunity use.

The discussed event topics were:

  • Adult education market: individual and professional development, public enlightenment;
  • Promotion of the lifelong leaning culture among community residents;
  • Human resources for post-war recovery;
  • Current and future funding of adult education;
  • Non-formal learning to attract investments into local economy.
