Winners of the Best SumDU Student 2023 contest

On 17 November, on the International Students’ Day, Sumy State University announced the most active students according to the results of the 2022-2023 academic year.

Traditionally, winners of the Best SumDU Student contest were determined in several nominations:

• «Educational activity. Academic mobility» – Valentyna REBENOK (IFSK);

• «The best foreign student» – Adebusoye FAVOUR TOPE (Medical Institute);
• «The best trade unionist» – Alina TARASENKO (Law Institute).

The winner of the contest was Kateryna SHEVCHENKO, a BiEM student.

She is an excellent student, a recipient of the scholarship of the President of Ukraine, a participant of all-Ukrainian and international scientific and practical conferences, a winner of international contests of student research works, a performer of the People’s Republic of China, the author of scientific publications. In 2023, she was entered into the «Book of Education Records of Sumy Oblast».

«Unexpected and very pleasant. This award is extremely valuable to me, because it motivates me to new achievements. I am grateful to Sumy State University, my teachers and parents», – said Kateryna Shevchenko.

Rector Vasyl KARPUSHA congratulated the contest winners as well as the entire student community of Sumy State University.

He emphasized that the university is proud of its intelligent, creative, goal-oriented and talented students; high scientific, sports and art achievements; active citizenship and volunteering. Wished for strength of spirit, desire to reach new heights, inspiration for new achievements.
