The Center for International Projects “Euroeducation” in partnership with the international group of experts IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence has published results of the 20th academic rating “Top-200 Ukraine 2026”. SumDU took 4th place among higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The rating methodology is based on many indicators. When forming the final table, positions of universities in the global QS and Times Higher Education rankings, sustainable development rankings, as well as in the Scopus and SCImago databases were analyzed. The assessment also took into account indicators of national importance, including performance in accreditation examinations of the National Academy of Higher Education and Science of Ukraine, success of scientific projects, and number of patents obtained. Besides, the overall ranking includes admission campaign estimation, which takes into account submissions by applicants and their average competitive score.

The high result of SumDU in “Top-200 Ukraine 2026” confirms its stability, competitiveness and effective, consistent work of the entire academic community even in the face of challenges. This achievement is evidence of high quality of education, research and development of the university as one of the leading institutions in Ukraine.
