The results of one of the most authoritative global rankings – the QS World University Rankings 2027 – have been released. This year’s study by the British agency “Quacquarelli Symonds” covered approximately 9,000 higher education institutions worldwide.
The final ranking list included 1,504 universities, among which were nine Ukrainian institutions. SumDU ranked the fifth among Ukrainian institutions, sharing this position with Lviv Polytechnic National University, I. I. Mechnykov Odesa National University, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In the global ranking, SumDU was placed in the 1201-1400 range.
A significant achievement this year was improvement in SumDU’s ranking based on its success in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, for which the university took the first place among Ukrainian institutions. In addition, the university ranks among top three national leaders in terms of citation rates of scientific publications, development of international research network, and recruitment of international students.
