SSU scientists visited Nuclear Power Institute of China within the working trip

On March 11^th-15^th the Ukrainian scientists’ delegation coordinated by Scientific and Research Institute of Energy Efficiency of Sumy State University visited the city of Chengdu (PRC). Scientists met with representatives of Nuclear Power Institute of China, for which they will develop and project the main pump for the energy installation.

Overall the project implementation involves the specialists of several leading institutions and organizations: State Company “Ukrspecexport”, SSU, NTUU “KPI” (Kyiv), JSC “Research and Design Institute for Atomic and Power Pumpbuilding” (Sumy) and Institute of Electrodynamics (Kyiv).

Negotiations of Sumy State University scientists are going on since 2016. Last autumn foreign partners visited Sumy region to discuss projects technical specifics in more details.

According to the Head of Science and Research Department of SSU Denys Kurbatov, during the trip the parties managed to agree and sign technical requirements of the development and projection of pump unit and its electric part. The meeting resulted in signing the set of corresponding documents with additional obligation for Ukrainian party to provide Chinese party with technical and commercial proposal for the project in the near future.
