SumDU students successfully performed at Ukrainian Sambo Youth Championship

On 22nd-24th of January, SumDU Palace of Sports hosted the participants of the Ukrainian Sambo Championship among juniors,young men and women of older age. This tournament was the qualifying stage for the European and World Championships.

Representatives of all the regions of Ukraine took part in the competitions. Among the athletes represented Sumy region are the students of Sumy State University.

The performance of Nataliia Chystiakova, a student of the Medical Institute, was triumphant. She won the gold medal in the weight category up to 72 kg and will now represent Ukraine at the international arenas. Another medical student Danyil Karlov became the bronze medalist of the championship in the weight category up to 90 kg.
