Sumy State University has become a partner of the all-Ukrainian project #VirtuallyTogether, which is held in 14 cities as part of the traditional Weeks of Germany in Ukraine.

The technology used in the project is implemented by the university laboratory of virtual and augmented reality "Ulab". Those who scan the augmented reality marker, designed by the university specialists, will be able to hear the greetings of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Ms. Anka Feldhusen, recorded during the diplomat's visit to SumDU in September this year.

Augmented reality markers in the form of stickers are placed in Bakhmut, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Lutsk, Mariupol, Odesa, Poltava, Severodonetsk, Sumy, Uzhhorod, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Chernivtsi. If you scan them with a phone camera and follow simple instructions, Ms. Anka Feldhusen's "hologram" will appear on the screen.

Everyone who finds the stickers with QR codes is invited to take a photo with Ms. Ambassador and post it in the #VirtuallyTogether - Weeks of Germany 2020 group on Facebook. Prizes will be drawn on October 19th among those who meet the conditions.

In Sumy, the following stickers are posted at:

2, Rymskogo-Korsakova st., circulation desk of the Library and Information Center (2nd floor);

9/1, Pokrovska st., front porch of SumDU Congress Center (to the right of the entrance);

27, Soborna st., front porch of the Sumy City Gallery (to the right of the main entrance);

2/2, Kharkivska st., Atrium Shopping & Leisure Center “Manufaktura” (1st floor behind the elevator).

Detailed instructions on how to interact with stickers can be found at: https://youtu.be/CTS7vIkYmcQ

SumDU Media Center, Ulab and public organization “Youth Media Community” are project coordinators in Sumy.

The main goal of the Weeks of Germany in Ukraine is to popularize the idea of Ukrainian-German unity, which is especially relevant this year due to the pandemic. Modern technologies allow us to get closer to each other, despite the limitations, as proved by project #VirtuallyTogether.

At the end of the Weeks of Germany, photos of the participants will be compiled into a large collage of Unity.
