On November 26th, 9 representatives from different higher education institutions of the region competed for the title of "Miss Student of Sumy Region 2020" in Sumy. Two students of Sumy State University are among the finalists.
The event of beauty and femininity took place in the renovated center "Romantyka", where the organizers of the competition gathered participants and judges, but the audience observed the action in a remote format.
This year's theme is "The Matrix", so the contest started with a fashion show in the style of this fantastic action movie. Then the girls answered situational questions about dreams, plans, and interesting episodes from their lives, demonstrated creative talents. After all, according to the terms of the competition, the jury evaluated not only the outer beauty of the participants but also their intelligence, creativity, talents, originality.
With respect to these conditions Karyna Bielym, a student of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies of Sumy State University was recognized as the winner and received the crown of "Miss Student Sumy Region 2020". Daria Sukhoruchenko, a student of the Medical Institute of SumDU, received the title of the First Vice-Miss Student.
According to Daria, the competition has become a new experience for her, as she never took part in such events before, she is sincerely glad to have the title of First Vice Miss Student and considers it a worthy result.
The winner of the contest "Miss Student Sumy Region 2020" Karyna Bielym noted the extremely warm atmosphere that prevailed throughout the preparation and the event itself.
"The competition was serious, but not intense, the girls became very friendly, supported each other, helped a lot. Of course, during the competition itself, there was not enough support from the audience, due to the online format. Understanding that there were more eyes looking at you then than there were seats in the hall added to the excitement”, - said the winner.
The victory did not come as a surprise to Karyna, because she has a good preparation - since childhood she has been engaged in ballroom dancing, she has realized herself as a model. She says that from the very beginning she set herself up for victory because she believes that thoughts are material.
Both girls expressed their gratitude to the SumDU Cultural and Art Center for their help in the preparation, to the groups "Suzirya & Paradise" and "Silhouette" for the incredible dance accompaniment at the talent contest.
