The study program in the major "Applied Mathematics" of SumDU received exemplary accreditation

The decision on exemplary accreditation in the major 113 "Applied Mathematics" in the study program "Data Science and Complex Systems Modeling" was made on December 15^th at a meeting of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.

At the same meeting, two more study programs of Sumy State University were accredited: "Medical Law", major 081 "Law", and study program, major 183 "Environmental Technologies" https://www.facebook.com/nazyavo / videos / 415257276187887 /.

The experts noted the innovative and exemplary practices of educational activities in the major "Applied Mathematics":

• active involvement of leading employers in the field, such as PJSC "Sumy plant" Nasosenergomash", PJSC "VNDIAEN", PJSC "Sumy Machine-Building MVO", LLC CB "Ukrspetsmash", the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, LLC “Gazmaskomplekt”. On the basis of the graduate Department of Applied Mathematics and Complex Systems Modeling the training centers of IT companies were opened: LLC "MINDKEY" and "PORTA ONE-SUMY", which are interested in graduates of this study program;
• implementation of the projects from foreign customers at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Complex Systems Modeling, in particular, for the Nanjing Research Institute of Electronic Technologies, Nanjing, China; during 2018-2019, a joint Ukrainian-Lithuanian research project "Optimization of the structure and phase composition of SnxSny and Zn1-xMgxO compounds for third-generation film solar cells" was implemented; from 2019 to 2021, 4 grants will be implemented, in particular, under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education Program, two topics under the grant program of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands "Culture of Law", as well as a grant from the President of Ukraine to support research of young scientists; also in 2016-2017, the Department of Applied Mathematics and Complex Systems Modeling performed a self-supporting agreement with the State Enterprise «Yuzhnoye Design Office” and in 2017-2018 a software and calculation system was developed at the department by the artillery unit to plan the enemy's fire defeat at the request of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Also, the assignment of exemplary accreditation considered the clear rules for enrollment of learning outcomes obtained in non-formal education, the use of distance learning methods, which were common to the study program before the introduction of quarantine measures in Ukraine.

Another successful accreditation of the study programs of SumDU testifies to the high scientific and educational potential of the university and strong material and technical base.

The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance has already successfully accredited 13 study programs of SumDU.
