Sumy State University implements the principles of equal opportunities for women and men, supports and develops relevant educational and research programs.

Female scientists and teachers of SumDU take an active part in the organization and conduction of research, international academic mobility activities, head international grant projects.

The gender balance of SumDU looks in such a way: most employees are women (62.5%), girls-students - 47%, and postgraduate students - 43%. Almost half of the leading staff of the university are women (49%).

For the information. 2021 marks the 111th anniversary of the proclamation of the idea of celebrating March 8th as International Women’s Day. The motto of this year’s holiday, proposed by the UN, is “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”.
