The State Center for Olympic Beach Volleyball Training has been established at SumDU

On March 17, the Government session supported the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the establishment of a state institution "State Center for Olympic Beach Volleyball Training".

"The implementation of the document will give us the opportunity to improve the conditions for targeted training of athletes of the national beach volleyball team, to create appropriate conditions for their accommodation, nutrition, medical and scientific support," the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Huttsait said.

The State Center for Olympic Beach Volleyball Training will be located at the Beach Volleyball Center of SumDU Sports Club. The sports facility, located at 2, Rymskogo-Korsakova Str., “New” building, Sumy, has all the necessary conditions for the training process of Olympic athletes: a sports hall with sand on 2 platforms, a gym, showers, locker rooms, offices for doping control. The swimming pool of the university is also at the athletes’ service. Sportsmen and coaches will be able to live in the hotel "Olimpiiskyi", eat in the cafeteria at the Beach Volleyball Center of SumDU Sports Club.

The rehabilitation and medical and biological support of the athletes will be conducted by the Scientific and Methodical Center of Sports Medicine, and the University Hospital of SumDU will provide profound medical examination and support.
