SumDU hosted "IT Career Day"

On September 15, the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of Sumy State University held a career guidance event for junior students " IT Career Day".

During the event, more than 500 participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with such companies as Netcracker, EPAM, AMC Bridge, Apptimized, Brocoders, MindK, 3SS.

"Career Day is being held by the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology for the fifth year in a row. Every year we have new students of the first, the second and the third year of study, so the event is an opportunity for them to meet representatives of top IT companies, learn about the opportunities they offer and employment conditions", - said the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology Oleksii DROZDENKO.

In addition to further employment of graduates, IT companies are successfully cooperating with SumDU in the initial process. In particular, on the basis of the university, there are training centers of companies, the curricula offered by them are integrated into the disciplines taught to students of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology.

"We immediately found contact with SumDU and offered a pilot programme EPAM Ambassador Test Automation, which provides for the integration of the company's educational module in one of the disciplines with an emphasis on practical classes", -  said RD QA Lab Head of the Kharkiv office Olena PLOKHA.

The best motivation for students is to get acquainted with SumDU graduates who currently work in the represented companies. Oleksandr ROT-SIEROV, a SumDU graduate of 2009, a regional manager introduced the features of employment at PortaOne:

"Cooperation with SumDU has always been at the highest level. The university promotes the development of the company, encourages students to take courses after which they can get a job. Such cooperation is beneficial for both parties, because we, for our part, are interested in new well-trained employees".
