For the eighth year in a row, Sumy State University occupies the high position in the QS regional ranking among universities from developing European countries and Central Asia - QS EECA.

Subsequent to the results of this year's ranking, SumDU takes the 122nd position in the region and the sixth one among Ukrainian universities. The QS EECA ranking is aimed to study the higher education area of ​​Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Turkey, the Baltic States, Central Asia and other post-Soviet countries.

Out of more than 3,300 universities in the region, only 450 of the best universities were included in the ranking of this year, of which 60 were included in the ranking for the first time. This year, Ukraine is represented in the ranking by the record number - 41 higher education institutions.
