From the beginning of 2022, students and future entrants of Sumy State University have the opportunity to study on a special online course "Basic rules of safety in the digital environment."

The virtual course was developed by the US Civilian Research and Development Foundation as part of the memorandum of cooperation with SumDU and is aimed to increase the general level of knowledge in the field of cybersecurity among students and entrants.

To Yulia SAVELIEVA’s opinion, the project coordinator of SumDU, in order to prevent threats that arise in the digital reality: cybercrime, cyber espionage, intellectual property theft, etc., it is necessary to master the information security and cybersecurity skills.

Students will be able to learn about the main threats in the digital space, understand what information is the main goal for hackers, and remember the basic recommendations for protecting their data, safe use of electronic devices and information resources.

The course consists of 11 educational animated video modules (5-7 minutes each) and lasts 60 minutes. Students have the opportunity to study the course modularly and record the result for each module. The course is open for registration and training on the platform https://cybereducation.org/ for current students and future entrants of Sumy State University, which is a partner of the CRDF Global Cyber Security Project in Ukraine.

For detailed information about the course, please contact the project coordinator Yulia SAVELIEVA (Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies, tel. (0542) 68-77-32, e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
