The workers create comfortable working conditions at the university at the high level, provide a wide range of information and communication, medical, sports, social and other services", said Vasyl KARPUSHA.

Among the main achievements of the previous year, the head has defined positions of SumDU in the international and national rankings: the university has become the uncontested leader among the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine in the international ranking Times Higher Education (position 501-600 in the world), positions in certain areas of this ranking have been improved (”Engineering” – the 1st place among the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine), SumDU took the second place among the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine in the international ranking UI Greenmetric.

In 2021, SumDU students won the largest number of prizes for all years (131 places) at the All-Ukrainian competitions of student research papers, which was the highest indicator among the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine for over 10 years.

Research activities are actively developing. One of the victories of 2021 was the results of the State Attestation of the Higher Education Institutions in terms of their scientific (scientific and technical) activities. In four areas, SumDU has entered the qualification group A: "Humanities and Arts", "Social Sciences", "Mathematical Sciences and Natural Sciences", "Technical Sciences" and the group B - in the field of "Biology and Health". Such indicators ensured SumDU the leadership among all the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine.
