Prospects of cooperation between Sumy State University and Palestine have been discussed

On August 9, the rector of Sumy State University Vasyl KARPUSHA and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Ukraine Mr. Hashem Hasan DAJANI had an online meeting.

The ambassador's adviser Mr. Davud ZHALLUD and the head of the international education department of Sumy State University, Mykola BOZHKO also took part in the meeting.

The participants discussed the fields for further cooperation, in particular, the prospects for increasing the number of Palestinian students at Sumy State University (currently, the student community of the university includes 42 students from Palestine).

Vasyl KARPUSHA emphasized that internationalization was among the priorities of the university. In turn, Mr. Hashem Hasan DAJANI expressed his intentions to promote the development of international relations between Sumy State University and Palestine, to deepen cooperation in the field of education.

The parties touched on the problems and challenges caused by modern realities and exchanged proposals for their solution.

For reference. Currently, 1,900 foreign students from 50 countries are studying at Sumy State University.
