On 27 January 2022, SumDU signed a cooperation treaty with Lincoln University College (a Malaysian higher education institution).

SumDU was represented by Inna SHKOLNYK (vice rector), Kostiantyn KYRYCHENKO (chief of the International Affairs Department) and Tetiana MAIBORODA (deputy chief of the International Affairs Department).

Lincoln University College was represented by Amiya BHAUMIK (president, professor), Rashid Abdul SALAM (chief of the International Affairs Department, professor) and Lubna Ali MOHAMMED (deputy dean of the Faculty of Social Science, Arts & Humanities, associate professor).

According to Inna SHKOLNYK, both institutions are similar with a great cooperation potential. They are included into the Times Higher Education Ranking, demonstrate high education and research levels. Besides, many of their specialties resemble: medicine, engineering, economics, computer science, humanities.

The signed treaty is aimed at active cooperation in education and research. There will be an opportunity to obtain double diplomas, realize academic mobility, conduct joint international conferences, etc.

Lincoln University College recognizes an advanced preparation of medical students at SumDU. That is a great direction to cooperate between the institutions.

Moreover, future mutual visits were negotiated.

Notes: Lincoln University College is a private higher education institution approved by Malaysian Qualifications Agency and Ministry of Higher Education. It is located in Petaling Jaya (near Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital).

In 2017 and 2019, Lincoln University College was awarded 5 stars by Ministry of Higher Education. It is among 9 Malaysian universities in the 2019 Times Higher Education Ranking. In 2020, it took the eightieth place of the same ranking.
