Visiting record during the SumDU Open Door Day

On 22 April 2023, Sumy State University hosted the Open Door Day. Among visitors, there were school pupils, college students and parents. They gathered offline in the main campus.

The event was full of various activities. Information corners of faculties and institutes were represented. Here, entrants got complete information about specialties, curricula, distance learning. Also, there were master classes, karaoke, surprises, quizzes, games, prize draws and university tours for all guests.

Vasyl KARPUSHA (SumDU rector) talked to entrants and their parents. He made it possible to observe SumDU from the inside:

“We are proud of our university. Today, it leads Ukrainian research and education. It is not by chance that our colleague became the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. We have the largest sports facility, a beautiful cultural and artistic center. Our students are active and sharp-witted”.

Yurii MERZLIAKOV (SumDU Department of Pre-University Education and Career Guidance) reported on 2023 admission rules and budget places.

Absent participants could join the event online.

After the official part, entrants and parents could talk separately to representatives of faculties and institutes. They asked additional questions, visited lecture rooms of various departments.

This year, the Open Door Day gathered a record number of visitors. That shows a significant interest of young people in studying at SumDU.

Young guests also shared their desire to enter the university:

“I chose Sumy State University a long time ago. Having observed its material and technical base, I want to study here even more”, – said Oleksandra (a 10th-grade visitor).
