Open lectures from a leading nanomaterial expert at SumDU

Sumy State University has launched a series of open lectures by Professor Yuriy GOGOTSI. He is the Director of the Nanomaterial Institute at Drexel University (Philadelphia, the USA), the SumDU Honorary Doctor.

Prof. Yuriy GOGOTSI is a leading expert in 2D materials. He invented MXenes, a new class of 2D materials.

His English lectures are open to anyone interested in advanced nanomaterials and their application.

On 27 February 2024, the first lecture was held: “Carbon Nanomaterials: From Fullerenes to Nanotubes and Graphene”.

Two more lectures will be held:

• “MXenes: 2D Materials for Future Technologies” – 12 March 2024 at 3 pm;
• “Nanomaterials for Energy Storage” – 19 March 2024 at 4 pm.
