On 27 June 2024, SumDU signed a cooperation agreement with JSC UKRSIBBANK, a member of the BNP Paribas Group (France).

This agreement opens up new opportunities for development of education, science and innovation. It provides significant prospects for both parties.

The partnership aims at combining educational and scientific potentials as well as cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.

In the educational field, cooperation is envisaged in all areas and disciplines related to financial and banking activities and related professions. The organisation of joint work involves bank employees in lectures, seminars, workshops, master classes as well as internships and training for students at the financial institution. Besides, the university and the bank are planning to organise and hold joint public events that will facilitate the exchange of experience and innovative ideas between the participants.

“The International Bank opens up prospects for employment of SumDU graduates in 85 countries. This agreement gives students an opportunity to receive basic practical training and implement their ideas in a real banking institution,” – said Anzhela ZENIKOVA (the head of the Sumy Regional Department of JSC UKRSIBBANK).

Inna SHKOLNYK (the SumDU first vice-rector) expressed her hope that the agreement will serve as a mutually beneficial partnership.

“I am convinced that the cooperation between Sumy State University, which is well represented in international rankings, and JSC UKRSIBBANK, as a representative of an international financial conglomerate, will contribute to the successful development of each of the parties,” – said Inna SHKOLNYK.
