33 years of restored independence, 10 years of war, over 2.5 years of full-scale invasion. Ukrainians continue the struggle that has been going on for centuries for the main values: freedom and sovereignty.

Each of us, who cares about a free European Ukraine, contributes to strengthening its defense capability and independence.

First of all, the Ukrainian military, who bravely protect our borders, land, history and future every minute. We thank all those who are desperately fighting on the front line.

SumDU researchers, teachers, students, all those who are not currently in the army, provide a reliable rear for the Armed Forces every day. They actively work, donate and volunteer. The university is the home of knowledge and science, because results of this work are extremely necessary for our country in wartime and post-war recovery.

Today, Ukrainians are united by a common desire to defend the independence of their country and see the light of victory. And the words of our countryman, the famous writer Ivan Bahrianyi, are still so apt today: “We are. We were. And we will be! And our Motherland is with us!”
