Sumy Oblast and SumDU were the first locations visited by Andrii SYBIHA (the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine).
The official and Volodymyr ARTIUKH (head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration) met with Vasyl KARPUSHA, the SumDU rector.
They discussed cooperation with international partners to support scientific, educational and economic development of the region. Particular attention was paid to foreigners’ education at Ukrainian higher education institutions.
Vasyl KARPUSHA also noted great assistance to the university from the international academic community since the wartime beginning.
The Minister stated Sumy Oblast is an example of resilience and invincibility. He expressed support for the university staff. Despite all challenges, SumDU proceeds. The official promised assistance in realization of educational and scientific projects.
“This is the first time the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has visited SumDU. I am grateful for a deeply professional and frank discussion to promote cooperation with international partners. We are solving problems of further foreigners’ education in safe regions. We are inviting creative, ambitious university graduates to join the large ministry community,” – commented Vasyl KARPUSHA.
