The Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science has identified six institutions that will receive state financial support within a startup project to create incubators and accelerators. The SumDU startup center is among them. Other organizations are National Aviation University, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kyiv Academic University, Dnipro Polytechnic and Odesa Polytechnic.
At startup schools, students will receive support and mentorship to raise investment for scaling.
The initiative is implemented in cooperation with the Innovation Development Fund, which promotes the startup ecosystem development in Ukraine.
On the World Science Day eve, a winners’ awarding ceremony took place in Kyiv.
“It is nice that the SumDU startup center “New Generation” is among winners. This will help our students and scientists in testing scientific projects, finding and attracting investors, and implementing innovative ideas. SumDU has a great potential for startups, innovative infrastructure and experience in cooperation with business. So, we will help our students and scientists who have a cool startup idea to implement these ideas into life. We support those who seek to implement ideas of modern technologies in energy efficiency, sustainable development, Cleantech, SmartCity, AI, VR, cyber security, etc.,” – noted Andrii PIVEN (head of the Center for Computer Technologies and coordinator of the SumDU startup school).
We congratulate our New Generation team on the victory! We wish you fruitful work to succeed and strengthen the economic potential of our country!
