Training of physical therapists involves mastering skills in urgent and emergency care. Current events are forcing us to pay more attention to issues of first aid for war injuries, especially those related to rapid bleeding control. The Department of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine uses tourniquets and hemostatic agents.
Equipped according to the IFAK standard (NATO), modern medical kits from the Everybody’s Business charitable foundation were presented by its head Serhii BONDARENKO during a meeting with Andrii LOBODA and Yurii ATAMAN. They are the Medical Institute director and the head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.
Andrii LOBODA noted that since the safety and quality education of students are the SumDU priority, the donated kits will serve both for training students and for operational use in emergency situations.
